We created this package because we know not every celebration needs thirty guests. Baby showers, birthdays, bridal showers, kitchen teas, sometimes the best celebrations are the intimate ones.
Why Do Small Group Packages Cost More Per Guest?
The preparation, sourcing, baking and styling required for a beautiful High Tea is largely the same regardless of guest numbers. By removing labour-intensive inclusions such as setup, pack down and the hot water urn, we’re able to offer smaller groups access to our catering without requiring a 20+ guest minimum. It’s flexibility, not a compromise.

What’s Included
Every small group package includes the same handcrafted high tea menu and vintage crockery you’d get with any of our larger celebrations. Freshly prepared food, luxury teas, and beautifully styled tableware. To make catering smaller groups possible, we’ve left out labour-intensive extras like setup, pack down and delivery within a 10km radius only.

Small Group High Tea FAQ
Small guest list, big list of questions. Here are the ones hosts ask us most before booking.
The minimum number we cater for in the small group packages is 10 guests. We cater to up to 17 here. For groups over 18 pax please see our full service high tea catering packages.
In order to keep the price per person as low as we possibly can, our small group packages do not include set up/pack down or service staff for the duration of the high tea event. Should you wish to add these services, please advise and we will quote accordingly.
You may add set up and pack down. The cost is $150 for set up and $150 for pack down.
Yes, we can add delivery as an additional surcharge if you are outside of our 10km radius. We can travel up to 20kms for the small group packages. For distances outside of 20kms you are welcome to arrange collection and return to us.
Adding more food per guest to the small group high tea packages is no problem with items priced as follows:
Sweet items – $3.50 per piece
Savoury items – $2.50 per piece
Unfortunately not. We do not offer a catering only service at this time. All orders are paired with vintage china hire.
As with any business, we are able to achieve economies of scale when servicing our larger groups (18+ pax) and therefore can offer a lower price per head for those packages. Our catering suppliers also have minimum order amounts. Ordering less than their minimums increases our costs considerably. Our small group high tea packages are still considerably more cost effective for our clients than dining at one of the fancy high tea venues in Sydney, most of which start at $80pp plus parking etc and also have timed sittings. So a long, lazy afternoon of high tea is not something that can be achieved at a venue quite like it can at home!
