High Tea Bridal Shower Picnic
Styling a high tea bridal shower picnic….
This little high tea bridal shower picnic set-up was the brainchild of Kairi of Silk & Bubbles who creates the most gorgeous bridal boxes – the perfect gift for your girls to say “thanks” on the big day.
The brief was very soft, feminine and most importantly – relaxed! Cos’ ain’t nobody got time for being a stressed out wreck in the lead up to their wedding!
What’s a high tea bridal shower without the crockery? So we brought along our favourite vintage Royal Albert plates along with the gold cutlery, sparkling crystal flutes and coupes, high tea ware and silver champagne buckets (for the most important part of course… the drinks!)
The lovely Diana from Exquisite Events took control of the super styling and also supplied the gorgeous distressed lattice backdrop, table and also sourced and lugged the extra long pallets halfway across Sydney for us in her trusty styling van – bless her!
The cute as a button florals and head pieces which tied in beautifully with our vintage crockery were created by the very talented girls at Fleurdom and Sierra Blooms.
We were also lucky enough to have our friend Swaza at Puddles the Cake Company bake a gorgeous pastel beauty especially for our high tea along with the most delicious cupcakes.
Sydney’s go-to team for anything sign-writing Ashdown & Bee created the signage. (Is it even an event if you don’t have an event sign these days?)
And we couldn’t have our girls show up to their high tea bridal shower without their token bridal sashes! These pretties were made by Little White Couture.
Make-up Queen Gemma Nichols and her team from Gemma Nicols Make-Up Artistry worked their butts off all morning prepping the five ladies for the shoot on a super windy morning… Although let’s be honest, these ladies could have been photographed in a hessian sack without a skerrick of make-up touching their skin and still looked divine!
Host Co were kind enough to let us take over the Gardens on Forest lawn to set it all up and lastly but absolutely the most importantly, the lovely and super talented Sonja from Sonja C Photography captured all of these stunning images from the day AND got us featured in Polka Dot Bride! (Hot tip: definitely add this chick to your shortlist of wedding photographers guys!)
We were so inspired by this little set-up that we’ve recently added styled high tea picnics to The Vintage Kitchen’s ever growing repertoire of packages (yay!) so all you need to supply is the patch of grass, and of course they can also be held inside if space permits and the weather is not behaving itself!
The set-ups for up to 60 guests will include:
- Low lying boho tables
- Rugs and mats
- Cushions
- Crockery, cutlery and glassware (for a high tea OR a casual lunch)
- Styling items
- Set up, styling, delivery and pick up
